Title of Resolution: Clarification of Textbook Selection Process

Whereas, the administrative regulations to implement Policy #106 (Textbook
Policy) leave substantial room for interpretation under Section I . A. 1. a. as to
who has responsibility for selecting textbooks for courses taught at Mendocino
College;

Therefore, be it resolved that the Academic Senate proposes the following language as a substitute for Section I. A. 1. a. of the Administrative Regulation to implement Policy #1 06:

Textbook selections for a course shall be made jointly by all full-time instructors in a subject field in consultation with all part-time faculty schedu!ed to teach the course. For courses in a discipline where no full-time instructor is assigned, a part-time instructor may be asked to make the textbook selection.
