On April 24, 2004. I sailed from the Dry Tortugas on a fishing boat, the Pedrito: The crew included Skipper Chindo, First Mate Adell and adventurer, Ken Bluhm.
It was a day trip. We left Garden Key at dawn, cruised to fishing grounds in the Gulf Stream, fished with hook and line, catching mostly "yellow fish," which are commercially viable. When the fishing slacked off, we headed back to the Tortugas.
We also caught a King Fish (see below: IMG_3729.JPG) which Chindo cleaned and broiled for dinner that evening.
Thanks fellas! It was interesting and you did all the work!
