Pictures Of
Active-fest 2000, roll 3

More photos from Active-fest 2000, all taken Sunday, July 16.

Sunday morning Dr. Andreas Toupadakis (above) gave a moving talk "The Responsibility of Scientists and World Citizens in the Nuclear Age." Dr. Toupadakis and Leuren Moret gave a workshop with the title: "Individual and Collective Actions Make a Difference." (More about the views of Dr. Toupadakis)

Lauren Moret's report on the workshop: Thirty people attended the workshop and shared their activities and experiences in their schools, colleges and communities. The participants represented a broad spectrum of community - Native Americans, a Judge, psychiatrist, professional scientists, K-12 teachers, farmers, artists, musicians, linguists, an environmental engineer, and activists of every kind. The speech by Andreas attracted members of the audience to the workshop. Maria Gilardin, a journalist and radio producer broadcast the speech to local communities in Mendocino County.
